Brief Description:  Landing gear inboard wear plates

I was looking at the next steps in the plans and I realised I had forgotten to back drill the outside holes on the inward wear plates. So with a bit of cutting fluid I set about that and it worked out fine. Also worked briefly on further trimming the Z angles to make sure that there is sufficient clearance between it and the U channels which hold the gear.

Also got email clarification from Sky Design Engineering that I had installed correctly and that the gap between the U channel and the gap was correct:

"You have done the installation correctly - there is supposed to be a gap and it is important that there is a gap as that confirms that the bolt tension is being applied to the gear leg. If there were no gap, it would be impossible to verify that the gear leg is being held as tightly as possible because some or all of the bolt tension would be taken-up if the bracket were "bottomed-out" on the fuselage."
